Roadmap

Stage 1: Act 1

If you have the DLC installed when you start the game, you will be able to start Sebastian's questline from when you meet Varric and have entered the Chantry Courtyard. This is all doable while you work on obtaining the 50 Sovereigns for the main Expedition into the Deep Roads, just pick up the quest Duty from the chantry board and complete the conditions.

Stage 2: Act 2

Once you have completed the Deep Roads Expedition and visited the Viscount of Kirkwall you will have a degree of freedom to look around Kirkwall and explore. During this time you will be able to undertake the next part of Sebastian's questline, which can be accessed by checking your journal and finding the mission Repentance. This is also when you can retrieve Sebastian's Heirloom.

Stage 3: Act 3

Once you are in the final act of the game, you will need to finish off Sebastian's questline by meeting with the Left Hand of the Divine, a Sister Nightingale. This act also marks the final points in which you can obtain the friendship, or rivalry, of Sebastian and you should attempt to do so before the final battle.

This is achieved within the second act of the game. Once you have left the Viscount and are back in Hightown you will be able to head over to the Chantry and find Sebastian talking to the Grand Cleric, Elthina. Talk to Sebastian and find out that he has worked out the identity of his family's killers. At the end of the conversation you can get him as a party member, which is critical to other trophies. The mission for this is Repentance and is a pretty simple quest which will pit you against a Desire Demon at the end.

Head over to the mansion in High Town, there is a map below to show the location.

For visual reference, see below.

Once inside you will find the place empty, but after a little investigation, you can find 2 of the family members through the progressive path. However, there is a third in one of the upper rooms who you can find if you want.
  1. Family Member 1
    1. Wine Cellar
  2. Family Member 2
    1. Upper Connecting Room
  3. Family Member 3
    1. Bedroom

None of these will even notice your existence, however, Sebastian will knock one person out who is trying to sacrifice someone. They will only provide a little insight into what is happening along with the documents that are nearby them, so you do not really need to bother with them.

In the second encounter with family members, there is a chest that contains an upgrade for Sebastian, however, you will need some good unlocking skills to open it and the others. Before heading to the Ruins you will also want to take note of the final basement room, which hides the Heirloom for Bronze Memento. And see that Flint Company Mercenaries corpse? He is the one you will want to loot to find the bow. There is more information in the related trophy, so please refer there for anything else.

When you have happily explored everything in the mansion, head back down to the basement and into the ruins under the mansion. Here you will have a few battles before you finally reach the cause of all the problems. The most notable of the enemies are Rage Demon and Arcane Horror, however, you should be able to take them on with little effort. The area isn't that bad to navigate so you should be able to get to the final battle pretty fast.

When you're there, you will have a dialogue sequence where you will talk with a Desire demon. Do keep in mind who your party is and what you are going to say. Below are the options that will impact Friendship and Rivalry, to give a little extra help in your endeavour.

It won't matter in the long run, however, you will still need to fight the Demon, Lady Harimann, and a few shades. There is no real trouble to this fight, so just put the enemies down and loot them before leaving, which is via the entrance that is conveniently located near the demon shrine.

Upon returning to the Harimann Mansion, you will be put into a short dialogue sequence with Flora Harimann, someone who Sebastian knew when he was younger. When you are finished here, head back to the chantry and talk to Sebastian, who is torn between staying in the Chantry or retaking Starkhaven. Tell him what you want. The dialogue options have been included in Bronze Loyalty of the Prince, so refer there for more information (seen in purple text for ease). Once the conversation is over you should get the trophy and can also unlock Bronze Memento for handing the bow in, provided you picked it up.

This is in Act 3, and provided you have been keeping up with Sebastian till this point, you will be able to achieve the final mission. This mission is Faith, which is given to you by the Grand Cleric. The mission screen can be seen below.

02613d.png
In this mission, you will be asked to meet with the Left Hand of the Divine, Sister Nightingale. Both Hawke and Sebastian are asked to convince the Divine to not act in Kirkwall due to unrest between the Mages and the Templars, and to do this, Sister Nightingale needs to be convinced. Once the conversation with her is over with, head over to the Viscount's Keep during the night and go to the Throne Room (yes, the place where you killed the Arishok in the finale of Act 2). When you reach here, there will be an ambush where you will need to defeat some enemies before meeting Sister Nightingale.

If you have played Dragon Age Origins (or Inquisition) you will know who this is, and if you have imported data from Origins things might seem a little off at first. At the start of the dialogue for convincing Sister Nightingale, she introduces herself as Liliana and basically tells you to warn Grand Cleric Elthina that Kirkwall is not safe and she should leave, before leaving herself. Head back to the chantry and let Elthina know what was said, but she will refuse to leave and abandon the people who need her. This will end the mission and obtain the trophy for you.

Once you have met Varric you will be able to look around the world of Kirkwall and have a degree of free-roam while you work on getting the Sovereigns you need for the main quest. To start up the questline for Sebastian you will want to head over to the chantry, in Hightown.

When you enter the courtyard and head over to Sebastian, you will get a cutscene. Upon completion of it, head to the Chantry board and accept the mission Duty. This will start the events with Sebastian and send you on the way to finding out who killed his family. If you head inside the Chantry you can talk to Grand Cleric Elthina, who will fill in some missing details, like who Sebastian is and what happened to his family. However, this is optional.

The duty quest asks you to do a few things, which are shown below:
  • Search Kirkwall Docks at night for the Flint Company Mercenaries
  • Go to Sundermount to find the Fint Company Mercenaries
  • Go to the Wounded Coast to find the Flint Company Mercenaries

Above is an image of the location that you will want to head for. All 3 companies in the different areas are close to the start, as highlighted on the maps. You will not have to go too far away from the point you entered the area to find them.

Upon completing all three of these you will need to return to Sebastian, who is located in the Chantry, and inform him that the contract is fulfilled. On finishing the conversation the trophy will unlock. This location for him is only once you have finished his first mission, other times he will be up with the Grand Cleric.

NOTE: Once you have accepted it, it will show up as a Letter to Hawke at the house, acting as a Codex Entry.

Friendship or rivalry can be obtained the same way it can in the main game, by doing things the individual approves of or disapproved of. In Sebastian's case, he sides with Chantry rulings, which means that siding with the ideals of the Chantry is a good thing to do. Honestly, it's not that difficult, however, a guide has been added below for getting either the Friendship or Rivalry with Sebastian.

Below is a quick way of getting Sebastian to either Rivalry or Friendship, and can be obtained within an hour.

During the mission Repentance, in Act 2, you will be sent to the Harimann's mansion in Hightown. When you reach the cellar you will find a dead Flint Mercenary, who can be looted. There is an image below to highlight who this is you are looking for and the area.

03fdba.png
Below you can see that he is holding the Starkhaven Longbow and it is highlighted as a Quest Item.

b6cef2.png
Once you have found and looted this you should have a Companions Mission called The Starkhaven Longbow. This is for returning the bow to Sebastian, which can be done once you complete the mission (Refer to Bronze Avenged for more details) and return to the Chantry. Because of the Mission Repentance, Sebastian should be a party member as it was his request to go to the mission and find out why his family was killed, unfortunately, you can not just hand over the bow to Sebastian when you find it. There is an image below showing the mission menu.

934598.png
Upon handing over the bow at the Chantry he will equip it and you will get a dialogue sequence, and unlock the trophy.
